This program is to prepare current and aspiring pharmacy technicians with standardized training to succeed in the fast-paced pharmacy practice setting. Pharmacy technicians measure, mix, count, label, and record medications by prescription orders and under the direction of the pharmacist. Students will experience hands-on learning in a simulated pharmacy tech lab and receive the opportunity to work in local hospitals and retail pharmacies.

Our program will help prepare you for a career as a nursing assistant in which you will encounter a variety of structured settings that will require medical knowledge and interpersonal skills that are focused on developing critical thinking as well as giving you the medical the knowledge you need to be successful. Our program is designed as an entry-level nursing program with the option to continue studies in nursing.
The training course is designed to ensure that the latest 2024 standards are met. All training is current, evidence-based, peer-reviewed, and developed off of the latest AHA guidelines. Once the course is completed, it will take approximately 24 to 48 hours for the certificate to upload to each participant's email. Participants will have access to print the credentials from any device. Each student will be able to do one or more of the following.

Medical Careers Readiness of North Carolina (MCR) was established in December 2018. MCR Primary focused areas are Vance , Warren, Franklin, and Granville county regions. These counties have been known as socially and economically disadvantaged. According to the U. S Census Bureau, Approximately 28% of Vance residents lived below the federal poverty level. The percentage of Vance residents living in poverty was approximately 60% higher than statewide (17.5%). The percentage of individuals living in poverty was highest in Henderson, Southern Oxford, and Butner. Based on these statistics Medical Careers understand there is a current need to promote self-sufficiency to all people including low- and moderate-income level families through specialized training programs that offer career development and sustainability.
